2011 Photovoltaics World Conference & Expo

The Photovoltaics World Conference & Expo is a co-located event with Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo. Both events will take place at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida on March 8-10, 2011.

The Photovoltaics World Conference will provide a forum dedicated to the manufacture, distribution and implementation of solar power produced by photovoltaic solar cells.

The featured session on Wednesday, March 9, between 9:30 – 11:30 AM includes an industry status report. There will also be a Photovoltaics Pavilion on the expo floor.

2011 Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo

With more than 4,000 renewable industry leaders and utility executives in attendance, Renewable Energy World Conference is North America’s leading all renewable event. The event will take place at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida on March 8-10, 2011. Industry experts will present on current trends, challenges and opportunities in renewable energy.

There are more than 125 speakers and 200 exhibiting companies scheduled for the event. Conference track subjects include: Biomass, geothermal, hydro, policy, market & finance, solar, utility Integration, smart grid, solar and wind.

On Tuesday, March 8, at 3:00 PM the Keynote speaker will be Mr. Kurt Yeager, Executive Directorof the Galvin Electricity Initiative. Yeager led the Electric Power research Institute for 30 years and guided an industry-wide collaborative effort to address challenges and plan for the future of electric power. Now as leader of the Galvin Electricity Initiative, he is continuing to lead efforts to reform the power generation and delivery sectors to improve reliability and expand the role of renewable energy.

Yeager's keynote speech will detail a model project currently underway at the Illinois Institute of Technology. This project is intended to design and build efficient 'Perfect Power System' models. This efficient electric power system advances ideas related to smart grids, self-healing systems and the elimination of economically damaging power blackouts. He will also speak about his efforts to work with electricity experts, innovators and entrepreneurs.

MiaGreen Conference and Expo

The third annual MiaGreen Conference and Expo took place on March 3 and 4, 2011 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The exposition hall featured thousands of green products & services as well as the latest information on green techniques, business and job opportunities. The convention's educational program addressed building remodeling, energy, cleantech, recycling, waste management, certifications, financial solutions, incentives, and trade consulting.

This conference and expo is designed for businesses, executives, architects, engineers, interior designers, builders, contractors, service providers, property managers, manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, importers, government officials, sustainable managers, professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and experts. This event was intended to help individuals and organizations, connect and expand into new markets and purchase top-level green technologies, products and services.

There were also more than 50 speakers that spoke on a wide range of topics including Designing & Building Greener Americas, How to Be Green and Be Profitable, as well as Policies Certifications and Benefits.
